The public is invited to tour the newly renovated Oakland California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from May 11 through Saturday June 1 between 9am-8pm daily at 4770 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland, California.
Lot A: Main Temple Lot, Parking for guests with limited mobility.
Lot A-AP: Main Temple Lot, accessible/ADA placard required.
Lot B: Lower Temple Lot.
Lot C: Volunteers only/Volunteer placard required.
Lot D: Greek Orthodox Cathedral Parking Structure and Front Lot. Shuttle will run every 10 minutes.
Lot E: Ability Now. Shuttle will run every 10 minutes. Open after 6 pm on weeknights and all day on Saturday and Memorial Day.
Lot F: Head Royce lot. Shuttle will run every 10 minutes. Open after 6 pm on weeknights and all day on Saturday and Memorial Day.
Lot G: Head Royce lot. Shuttle will run every 10 minutes. Open after 6 pm on weeknights and all day on Saturday and Memorial Day.
Merritt College Parking Lot C: Available May 11, 18, 25, 27 and June 1 only. Shuttles will be running every 15 minutes from 8 am to 8 pm.
BART: The Fruitvale Station is the closest to the Temple. The next closest is the Rockridge Station. From the BART stations you will need to take Uber/Lyft/Taxi. Check the BART Website for schedules.
BUS: AC Transit Lines run every 20 minutes. Take Line 39 or 339. Cost is $5 round trip. Stops right in front of the temple. Check AC Transit website for schedules. Bus lines only go to/from the Fruitvale BART station.

How early should I arrive before my tour to find parking?
You should arrive at least 30 minutes before your assigned time.

Yes, shuttles will run every 10 minutes from parking lots D,E,F,G. Shuttles from Merritt College run every 15 minutes (On May 11, 18, 25, 27 and June 1 ONLY).
What should I do if all the parking lots are full?
Except for Festival Weekend, we should have adequate parking in the additional off-site lots. On the Greek Festival Weekend (May 17-18), we recommend you use public transportation. You should expect very high traffic volumes and limited parking on Saturdays and Memorial Day Weekend. To ease congestion, we have arranged for additional parking at Merritt College (Lot C) with shuttle service to and from the Temple.
Are there drop off locations at the temple?
There are two drop off locations where individuals can be dropped off (1) Interstake Center auditorium. 2) Temple roundabout)
What should I do if lots for handicapped parking are full
You can drop off in one of the two drop-off locations on Temple Hill and then send one person to park the car in another lot. We will be designating additional spots for limited mobility parking in Lot A, but we may still run out on busy days.
I am volunteering at the temple, where should I park?
The upper lot, marked Lot C on the map. You will need a dashboard placard with a V on it.
