The public is invited to walk the grounds and visit the Visitor’s Center of the newly renovated Oakland California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 4770 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland, California.
For the first time in 55 years, the public was invited to tour the newly renovated Oakland California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The open house has ended but the public is always welcome to visit the beautiful temple grounds, enter the visitor’s center, and learn more about our Savior Jesus Christ.
Temples are literally houses of the Lord. They are holy places of worship where individuals make sacred covenants with God. People find opportunities for peaceful reflection and for learning more about God’s plan of happiness.
Often called “Mormons,” we believe first and foremost that Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer. We believe that through Him all humankind may enjoy eternal life with their families in God’s kingdom (see John 3:16).
Come see how members in the Bay Area are preparing for the temple rededication and open houses. Participate in activities like the temple mosaic, art exhibit, and monthly fireside events.

Did you know that the Oakland Temple was the 13th temple of the The Church when it was dedicated?
